I have never been a coffee person. All of my life, people have been telling me, “wait until you are in college,” or “oh, wait until you start pledging a sorority,” and “you will start once you have a full time job.” Well all of those have come and gone and the only time I even sipped a coffee was when I went to Disney World with my mom and sister in middle school.  And that was just to see what all of the fuss was about! I don’t particularly care for the smell and I think that’s the part I can’t get past. So anyway, my next hurdle is everyone saying “wait until you have kids…” but I don’t have to worry about that any time soon!

Since coffee is not my drink of choice in the morning, I would like to share with you what I do love and would encourage you to try! I discovered Silk Soy Milk in college thanks to one of my roommates, Lindsay , and have been drinking it ever since. I prefer the light vanilla because it is perfect as a glass or over cereal…especially good with Speciak K Vanilla Almond cereal.

What drink do you like to start your day off with?

What is your morning beverage of choice?

Every time I see Silk I always think of you. Being somewhat lactose intolerant you would think I like it, but I just cannot get past the taste of it (even the vanilla kind). I drink coffee a lot now that I work strange hours. I really only like flavored coffee, but I used to hate it all because of the bitter taste. Since I started drinking it for the pick me up, I have grown to really enjoy it now. There are so many different flavors and blends that not only do I enjoy it now, but I get excited about trying new coffees! Still, coffee isn’t really that great for you so if you don’t need the caffeine, don’t start drinking it. I have tried unsuccessfully to switch to green tea because it is generally healthier, but it just doesn’t taste as good.

  2. i only like green tea when it is really sweetened like arizona or fuze 🙂 the healthy kind is just not as fun! have you tried the silk almond soy milk? i wonder if you would like that.
